Oklahoma five-piece Other Lives will be releasing their second album 'Tamer Animals' in the UK on August 29th. If you're the impatient kind and can't wait that long they've released a couple of tasters to tide you over.
'For 12' is a galloping monster of a track driven by guitars with more twang than Morricone's elastic band collection. It's as vast as the prairies and as intimate as a Johnny Cash ballad. 'Tamer Animals' is a little tamer. It doesn't gallop it creeps up on you and takes ownership of your brain. The twang setting is turned low but the harmony setting has been turned up high.
So there you have it two very different tracks that pave the way for a stormer of an album.
