From: Detroit, Michigan, USGood music never dies it just locks itself away in it's room for a while and then resurrects itself when it's safe to come out. The Killers made it ok to play with 80s indie once again and Almost Free have taken the hint. The Detroit trio's jittery alt pop owes it's very existence to the anthemic indie pioneers of the early 80s.
Their new single 'Really Don't Know (About You)' reminds me of the soaring post punk power pop of the unfairly underrated Icicle Works (on tour now!) a band for whom a revival is long overdue.
Free music that's Almost Free how's that for a conundrum.
