Woom is Eben Portnoy and Sara Magenheimer a duo who used to be called Fertile Crescent and were both members of Flying. They play lo-fi pop that's cuter than a kitten in a santa hat and is a perfect reminder of a better world, a world far removed from the manufactured x-factorised puppets we are force fed by an industry that died from the neck up years ago. It's the kind of pop that get's under your skin like a drug and refuses to budge. Once you're hooked it's a really difficult habit to break. Ask the legendary rock journalist Everett True who last year named Woom as his favourite band in the world. High praise indeed.
