I received an email from Clytem Scanning that merely stated "It is 2011. it is cold and damp outside. warm in my room" and a link to a youtube video. It all felt mysterious and a little suspect. It could easily have been one of those links that you click and let's a villain (god how English does that sound?) wipe out your bank account or perhaps something a little more exotic. I was about to click the delete button but I clicked the youtube link instead and crossed my fingers. Boy am I glad that I did because the bedroom electro of 'Massue' (quite literally, check out the video below) is epic, stunning electro pop that Midge Ure would have given his moustache for in 1981. It's one of the best tracks I've stumbled across for sometime. It's another contender for track of the year and we are only 3% of the way through the year!

The way this year has started I could have the top 10 for 2011 before the end of January. If this is the shape of things to come then 2011 will be a bumper year for music.
