The Notorious Bird Brother & Sister

The Bird & The Monkey
From: The Scottish Borders, Scotland

Regular readers will know that the Devil is partial to Scottish musical adventurers SarahJane Swann and Roger Simian aka The Bird & The Monkey (Stirring It Up, Branded By The Devil, The Bird & The Monkey) and it looks like the rest of the world is beginning to catch on. The bizarre and buzzing 'Moon Moth', one of the tracks from the duo's new single which is scheduled for release via Shark Batter Records on 21st January (Roger's birthday), was featured on cult BBC teen soap 'The Cut'. A small step for the duo a huge leap for music kind!

The other track on the single, 'Baal 4 Justice' is a cornucopia of snarly guitars, buzzing bass, strummy acoustic and twinkly xylophone while Sarahjane waxes lyrical about the demon Baal descending on a Scottish court of law. Not your typical indie fare I'm sure you'll agree and all the better for it.

Make listening to The Bird & The Monkey your new years resolution for the good of your aural health.
